Currently there is the ability to set length and time signature for an individual track, but not globally, this has two effects:
  1. It's quite cumbersome to sequence not in 4/4, since you have to change the track length for every track separately (or shift-click each track in turn and then make the required changes).
  2. If you can't coerce your track length to align with the 16 step bars using the speed control, e.g. 9/8, matrix mode becomes significantly less useful. To get automated pattern changes to work, you need to adjust the sequence length with the beats control to get the changes to occur at a bar line, and the trigger quantisation can only be set to a small value (e.g. 1/8), so I can't queue a change of pattern for e.g. 2 bars' time.
It would be very helpful for my use-case if I could set these parameters globally.
