Assign scale and key in clips of new scenes
Burnoldz-Mortier
I mean that the project should keep track/store which scale is assigned to a track or to all. It should not be a global setting indeed. The goal is that when you reopen the project, new scenes use the same scale you had previously defined at track/all scopes in this project.

@Burnoldz-Mortier I’m not sure about that, because you might want to use different scales for different projects. A new project is supposed to start with a default state based on the general settings. If elements from the previous project were carried over, it could cause confusion.
The only way I could see this working is by having a global default scale setting. In that case, all clips would adopt that scale when creating a new project.

Hi Henrique, the process you describe works as long as you stay in the same BAM session.
If you change project or restart BAM, all new scenes default to C Chromatic (unless you have assigned a scale to a track or all in this session).
Ideally if you set a scale to all, or track I expect the choice will be preserved for new scenes, next time I open the project. What do you think?

Hi Henrique, that's good like this. I didn't know it worked this way.
I observe that it works the same way for "TRK" and "ALL". Thanks!

If you apply a scale to the track, all created clips in that track will have the same scale. Having a scale per track will let you achieve what you were asking. Do you think this is enough?

Second this!
