if every clip in a project could use its own machine preset – that would be super cool feature for live usage, reducing the number of used tracks and needs to load another project.

some hardware grooveboxes have this feature – e.g. Roland MC-707 & MC-101.

some software grooveboxes also have this feature – «parameter sets» in Groove Rider 2.
